 Schema Therapy with Couples

This ISST approved program meets ISST requirements leading to certification in Schema Therapy with Couples.

Training  includes understanding of schemas, modes, the schema therapy relationship, schema and mode interventions, chair dialogues, integrating Gottman, EMDR and Emotion-Focused techniques, step-by-step creating a detailed Client Conceptualization, techniques for traumatized clients, containment and self-calming, couple’s empathy producing exercises, de-escalating clashes, Mode Maps and Couples Clashcards, using the needs versus wants sorting tool, red versus blue leg contextual schema therapy applications, etc.

  • For those who wish the Culturally Competent ST for Christians,  we add 10 hours of additional training components that make it culturally attuned for competent and effective practice with Christians

Our view is that it is difficult to isolate problems only to the individual,

and for many who are married or in some other type of relationship, knowledge of both types of service delivery (individual or marital/couples) is a must to determine the most effective intervention for the client who is contacting you.

Track a

jesus-centered training for therapists

Also presented by Dr. Chiara Simeone-DiFrancesco

This is a 9 hour workshop.   Tuition is $650.

This course takes some of the interventions that you may already know, and teaches you how to make them Jesus-Centered.  This means, inviting Jesus actively into your sessions with Christian clients and partnering with Him for healing!  It includes topics that are all Jesus-Centered and integrates a Culturally Competent Christian application of well-known interventions for clients wishing to bring their faith into their therapy.

For Cultural Competence with Christians it demonstrates the methodology of Jesus-Centering in Guided Imagery, utilization of Chair-dialogues & other chairwork; CBT homework exercises, and application of Lectio Divina into a client session.  It also covers imagery rescripting in terms of using the re-parenting of both the therapist and Jesus.  Participants have opportunity to practice in dyads. 

Graduates will receive a certificate of completion.

Scriptural Pastoral Foundations

 

Training & Certificate of Completion provided by Romuald B. Simeone in partnership with Jesus-Centered Institute, LLC.

 

 

The tuition costs are as follows:

There are three terms per year, each encompasses 4 months.  one 3 credit course is offered with continuity each term.  One three credit course is $725.   18 credits are needed to obtain the certificate.

6 courses of 3 credits each = $4,350 for the two years.  Full payment is required at registration, together with a $50 technology fee. 

 

Via Scriptural Pastoral Foundations, therapists and others can become trained and formed via the Scriptural Books of John for Jesus-Centering of their work from within the Christian culture and religion.

 

This course is for Jesus-Centered Healthcare & Allied Ministries and is OFFERED through our partnership with Jesus-Centered Institute, LLC and Professor Romuald B. Simeone.  This is a two year training program that provides a certificate of completion.

Its goal is to learn who Jesus is more precisely and be committed to Him more fully, understanding “follow me”.  It covers verse by verse in-depth explication of the JohanNine scriptural writings.  The books are read without commentary, but with the verses expanded to include in narrative fashion all the EXEGESIS & HISTORICAL SETTING. 

Taught by Professor Romuald B. Simeone, Scriptural Scholar, Genetic Historian, Theologian & Mission Catechist.  Required materials are the 4 textbooks of Bible, Love Letters From Your Father, Books of John, (Gospel (VOLS. 1a & 1B), Letters (vOL. 2)  & Revelation (vOL. 3), Lectio Divina, plus 63 hours of videos.  The books are for purchase (Amazon) and the 63 hours of video accompany the books for no extra charge.  There is approximately 9 hours of student engagement per week.  This time may be spent on watching the videos, readings, assignments and a monthly one hour group tutorial/class  with Professor simeone over zoom.  in this live, synchronous interactive class, questions and discussion regarding the scriptural readings and gospel jesus occur.  You will be taught how to make what the gospel is saying to you, personal to your life, and to hear how jesus is speaking to you day by day.

  • (Certification involves completion of all 6 terms over two years plus the  24 synchronous Zoom hours.  On a weekly basis is the paced outside reading & viewing of the videos.)
